Fire Suppression PPM Engineer

Job Description

In this role the successful candidate will be trained to deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance work (PPM) on a wide variety of Fixed Fire Suppression and Water Mist systems. As part of a highly experience engineering team the successful candidate will receive full training with a view to becoming a fully qualified Fire Suppression Engineer.

This position is extremely varied, including travel to various pre booked appointments completing service and remedial works to Fixed Fire Suppression equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As part of this role, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Service Fixed (Gaseous) Fire Suppression Systems mechanically (electrical experience and knowledge working with brands such as Honeywell Gent, Notifier and Kentec would be advantageous)
• Identify defects and deficiencies in installed systems making clear recommendations for remedial actions required to provide compliance.
• Meet pre-defined target times for maintenance and customer requirements
• Proficient in Room Integrity Testing.
• Complete remedial works.
• Complete call outs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of BS5839-1, BS7273, BS6266, BS EN 15004.
• CSCS/ ECS Card holder
• Valid UK driving license

Skills & Experience Required

• Understanding of BS5839-1, BS7273, BS6266, BS EN 15004.
• Previous experience working on suppression systems is crucial.
• Previous experience of maintaining Co2, FM200, FK-5-1-12 (Novec 1230), IG-01, IG-55, IG-100 and IG-541 Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems
• Previous experience of maintaining Low- and High-Pressure Water Mist Systems (Danfoss, JCI ULF and VID Firekill) is advantageous
• Flexible with working hours and ability to work away from home within the UK and Europe when required.
• Ability to work unsupervised with capability to problem solve.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
• Be a positive, friendly and a strong confident communicator.
