Fire Alarm Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will carry out installation and commissioning of addressable systems mainly in being fire extinguishing / suppression systems within the Critical Infrastructure / Data Centre Market.

This position is extremely varied, including travel to various pre booked appointments completing service and remedial works to Fixed Fire Suppression equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As part of this role, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Installation of Fire Alarm / Addressable Fire Suppression System
• Installation of Fire Extinguishing & Suppression Systems (Inert, Chemical & Water Based Systems etc)
• Maintenance / Emergency Call Out of Fire Alarm / Fire Suppression Systems (Inert, Chemical & Water Based Systems etc)
• Commissioning of Fire Alarm / Addressable / Conventional Fire Suppression Systems
• Working across specialist market sectors.
• Complete certification and documentation
• Work across the UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• CSCS/ ECS Card holder
• Valid UK driving license

Skills & Experience required

• Understanding of BS5839-1, BS7273, BS6266, BS EN 15004.
• Previous experience working on suppression systems is crucial.
• Previous experience in commissioning of Co2, FM200, FK-5-1-12 (Novec 1230), IG-01, IG-55, IG-100 and IG-541 Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems
• Ability to work unsupervised with capability to problem solve.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
• Be a positive, friendly and a strong confident communicator.
